It's a new year - and I am back to socks. After working on the Christmas gifts it's back to socks and obviously I do the same as with my quilting. I have multiple projects at all different levels. I joined in a KAL for the first time through
knitpurlhunter. It's also the first time I have done a sock with the magic loop, toe up style. I had to start and restart multiple times but so far so good I guess. The yarn is a new one for me also, CoBaSi, Burgandy color. It's cotton, bamboo and silk fiber content, machine wash cold, dry flat. I got the yarn at
Fiber Wild, fast shipping!
The other new sock I started is the brown/tan stripe also in a new to me yarn. The yarn is Lang JaWoll, Aktion. I am doing the socks with the
Zora pattern but the cable doesn't show up too good in the photo. I like how they look though.
The other picture is of the blue/green Opal yarn socks, just past the heel on sock number 1.

love the colors on the Zora socks..Of course I like the others as well. Guess it is because I have never met a sock yarn color I didn't like.
ReplyDeleteMe too - and there are so many to pick from!
DeleteI love the Jawoll yarns.
ReplyDeleteThe socks have a nice feel to them and the color pattern is good too!
DeleteFunny - I had to look 2X at the blue/green Opal socks because at first glance they look like baby knee socks and I was wondering how you were going to close up the bottom of the foot! Nice knitting! I have to start a new pair of socks, my favorite pair was put through the wash - on HOT this week. Cheers! Evelyn
ReplyDeleteI thought the picture looked funny too! And yikes on hot water washing of your sock.
