I'm still knitting away on socks. I joined 3 (aaaak!) January sock KAL's. I am almost got up but just got another round of clues for each of them.
The first one I started is the burgandy "Crimple" pair for the knitpurlhunter progressive knit along She has great videos and so far I have learned toe up, magic loop and short row heels. The photo looks a little strange, stuck a little batting it it to show the heel part. I'm using CoBaSi yarn, cotton bamboo and silk that I got from Fiber Wild.
The gold pair is the Through the Loop Designs Mystery Sock 2013. The yarn is a malabrigo sock yarn. I've learned lace patterning on this design and am attempting to learn how to count correctly!
The dark green pair is the Knitter's Brewing Co Mystery Sock pattern, April Showers. The color is dark so it's hard to see the pattern, put some batting behind so it shows up better. The yarn is really pretty, forest green with small amounts of brighter green in it.

Socks, Socks, and More Socks
More progress on the socks and a new sock to boot! Not only did I join my first KAL, I found and joined 2 more. The burgandy crimple sock from last week is ready for clue #2 (hopefully will work on that this weekend). The gold socks are for the Through the Loops Mystery Sock 2013. I've never done a lace pattern like this but with slow knitting and counting out loud I'm getting it done. The third KAL I've joined but haven't started it yet, Knitter's Brewing Co, Mystery Sock V - perhaps I've started too many?
I also made progress on the two other started socks, ready for the toe on the green/blue pair and the heel on the brown pair.
Happy knitting!

It's a New Year
It's a new year - and I am back to socks. After working on the Christmas gifts it's back to socks and obviously I do the same as with my quilting. I have multiple projects at all different levels. I joined in a KAL for the first time through knitpurlhunter. It's also the first time I have done a sock with the magic loop, toe up style. I had to start and restart multiple times but so far so good I guess. The yarn is a new one for me also, CoBaSi, Burgandy color. It's cotton, bamboo and silk fiber content, machine wash cold, dry flat. I got the yarn at Fiber Wild, fast shipping!
The other new sock I started is the brown/tan stripe also in a new to me yarn. The yarn is Lang JaWoll, Aktion. I am doing the socks with the Zora pattern but the cable doesn't show up too good in the photo. I like how they look though.
The other picture is of the blue/green Opal yarn socks, just past the heel on sock number 1.
Happy knitting everyone! Check out what others are doing at Patchwork Times
